West Deer EMS provides emergency services to the 12,500 residents and the businesses of West Deer Township, as well as providing mutual aid to surrounding communities in Allegheny & Butler Counties.
Emergency Medical Technicians are required to have the following credentials: valid PA DOH EMT Certification with EMSVO, Healthcare Provider CPR, EVOC or equivalent, and a valid PA driver’s license.
Paramedics are required to have the following credentials: current, valid PA DOH Paramedic license, BCLS, ACLS, PALS, EVOC, valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License, and should be in good standing with their Medical Command facility.
Previous emergency field experience is preferred. Pay rate would be discussed during the interview process. A variety of shifts are available, including 8, 16, and 24-hour shifts.

This includes Zoll X-Series monitors, McGrath video laryngoscopes, Stryker Power Cots, Lucas CPR Device, emsCharts mobile, the Handtevy pediatric system, and more. New ambulances with power cot and power load systems will be delivered fall of 2023.
