Emergency Medical Technician – Part Time Casual or Part Time Regular.

West Deer EMS provides emergency services to the 17,000 residents and the businesses of West Deer Township and Indiana Township, as well as providing mutual aid to surrounding communities in Allegheny & Butler Counties. We are a growing ambulance service looking for enthusiastic and professional EMS providers. Emergency calls are a majority of our call volume. We do a low volume number of non emergency transports for the residents of our service area. We also have PR Events, Special Event standbys for sporting events, and, new starting in 2024, providing medical coverage during concerts at No Offseason Sports Complex. Both the special events and concert coverage have increased special pay rates.

Emergency Medical Technicians are required to have the following credentials: valid PA DOH EMT Certification with EMSVO, Healthcare Provider CPR, EVOC or equivalent, and a valid PA driver’s license.

Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians are required to have the following credentials: current, valid PA DOH AEMT license, Healthcare Provider CPR, EVOC, valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License, PHTLS or ITLS and should be in good standing with their Medical Command facility.

Paramedics are required to have the following credentials: current, valid PA DOH Paramedic license, BCLS, ACLS, PALS, EVOC, PHTLS or ITLS, valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License, and should be in good standing with their Medical Command facility.

Previous emergency field experience is preferred. Pay rate would be discussed during the interview process. A variety of shifts are available, including 8, 16, and 24-hour shifts.

We have again increased our starting rates and experience is considered when discussing pay. A comprehensive benefits package is provided for all full-time employees.
